The Scottish Government's 'Don't Risk It' campaigns promote road safety to all of Scotland's road users. Their motorbike campaign, 'Breathtaking Roads' engaged its audience with cool videos and subtle messaging and was embraced by the often indifferent biker community
I designed a microsite to showcase three of Scotland's breathtaking roads. Each road features an illustrated map section.

The BBC launched a live action television show based on the famous Katie Morag children's book series by Scottish author, Mairi Hedderwick. Chunk was asked to create an HTML5 game that would work across all devices to coincide with the launch of the TV show.
We were very lucky to have Mairi Hedderwick supply lots of the assets. I was responsible for the UX/UI, design, and some additional illustration.

Scotland’s young people are incredible, and 2018 was a year dedicated to showing the world just that. The Year of Young People put the spotlight on 8 to 26 year olds, giving them new and powerful ways to express their creativity, skills and talents on a global stage.
I designed and built the front-end of a showcase website that accomodates a varied range of content. I created collages for the key objectives of the year and used CSS animations to give the site some life. Visit website

Competing against some of Scotland's largest agencies, Big Think's pitch won Scouts Scotland's Annual Review for 16/17. I contributed creative direction, design and illustration to the project and I'm really proud of how it turned out. The Annual Review is perfect bound and was printed on high quality uncoated stock. I also created an animation to be played at Scouts' AGM and used on their social channels. The video was viewed over 1,700 times in the first month.
I wanted the look and feel to reflect the vibrance and diversity of the Scouts and created fun vector characters to be used across various platforms.

The 'Second Chancers' project tells the stories of people who have been let down and rejected, aiming to raise awareness of an effective sentencing option. Exhibitions took place across Scotland where the companion app presented attendees with audio stories as they walked through the space.
I contributed design and UX to the app.

Part of Scottish Government’s work to get people to slow down in town. Research showed the 22 and 40 year old, male, risk-taking drivers don’t want to engage with the government about their driving. So, we needed to get our messages out to them in a more engaging and timely way. We created of a cute, chatty, Twitter bot with bags of banter that was programmed to automatically respond to keywords and hashtags from drivers.
I contributed the initial concept, helped with development, and provided the character illustrations.

Stara Zagora is a Scottish artist. I was approached to rebrand the project and create a new logo and visual style to be used across run of three consecutively released EPs and an album. I also created a simple, one page website to link off to social channels and streaming platforms.
Stara Zagora's music is experimental and slightly futuristic, so the branding had to reflect that.

The Scottish Government promised to double free childcare hours for parents around Scotland and, in order to keep their promise, they required thousands of new Early Learning and Childcare staff by the year 2020. The Gate created an advertising campaign and a new website to get more people into childcare careers.
I contributed wire-framing, UX, and design for the website.

Over the last year or so I've found myself designing a lot of record sleeves for Scottish artists. I've really enjoyed working with some great artists like, Be Charlotte, Medicine Men, and Sun Rose. Some of the sleeves are the result of a partnership with Last Night From Glasgow, a not-for-profit record label doing fantastic things for Scottish music.

ShakyShaky is a product designed to get rid of the annoying crumbs from your last bowl of cereal. I designed and built a fun, one-page website and generated social content to create brand awareness.
This project gave me the opportunity to illustrate, animate, and mess around with silly ideas. The animation pictured is a Tony the Tiger clone who becomes despondent as he realises his bowl is full of dust.

Sometimes you've got to make something for yourself, just for the hell of it. I love to do a bit of illustration and I based this piece on a throwaway line in a song by Run The Jewels. I was thrilled when the official Instagram account reposted it, garnering 15k+ likes.

Brainless Zombie maker was an avatar builder built to showcase the possibilities of the Huzutech API. Users were invited to fully customise an avatar with over 500 options and share the results via social networks. We wanted to create a really fun demo to show potential clients and ended up creating avatar builders for IP like 'Small Potatoes' and 'Horrible Histories' as a result.
I designed the UI and created all of the assets for this project. Every ghastly grimace and ghoulish eyeball I could come up with was included to create a really cool little web app.
